New Lanark Mill Hotel
It is fitting that New Lanark is now a venue for conferences and meetings, as the history of education and training in the historic village dates back to 1800, when Robert Owen became manager of the cotton mills. He believed that nothing was more important than the education of his employees, and his reforms in New Lanark included a centre for evening classes for his employees, and the world’s first nursery school. These days our customers appreciate the value of this unique venue, tucked away in a peaceful setting close to the spectacular Falls of Clyde, and yet less than an hour from the busy centres of Glasgow and Edinburgh. The village provides an historic location away from all the daily distractions, supported by elegant facilities for up to 200 delegates.
