The Arches
Set in the heart of the city, The Arches’ spectacular Victorian interior consists of fourteen brick-lined railway vaults.

The Arches is situated in a convenient central location, off junction 19 on the M8 motorway, the adjacent car parking accommodates up to 1000 vehicles and is directly next door to Glasgow Central Station.
Originally used as a home for dray horses working on local railways, The Arches became Grade A listed in 1972, but remained derelict until renovation for Glasgow's exhibition in 1990. The building reopened as home to The Arches Theatre Company in 1991 and is now an active and professional arts venue with a skilled team accustomed to delivering successful events.
Each full length arch can facilitate a banquet of up to 306 guests and receptions for 400. Combining various arches can raise the capacity to 720 for banquets and 2000 for parties. Conferencing for up to 150 can be accommodated in Arch 2 and 3 with stage set and raked seating available. Exhibitions are easily catered for throughout the ground floor and our new basement rooms provide excellent small breakout facilities.
