Brodie Castle
The castle resonates with five centuries of Brodie family history -
There have been Brodies at Brodie since the 12th century, when the family was granted these lands by Malcolm IV for their unwavering loyalty to the crown. The original 16th–century tower house, a typical Z-plan with square towers set diagonally at opposite corners of the main hall, was added to by subsequent lairds wanting to make their own personal stamp.
The interconnecting rooms provide a seamless flow for guests -
The Entrance Hall provides a reassuringly homely welcome, where guests can be received then led through to the stylish and comfortable Library for drinks for up to 50 guests. Ceremonies or seminars can be held upstairs in the elegant and spacious Drawing Room with beautiful views over the parkland. The imposing oak–panelled Dining Room, with its impressive carved ceiling, makes a dramatic venue for formal dinners for 22 guests. While more informal events, such as meetings and lunches for up to 60, can take place in the restored old stables in the castle grounds. Marquees can be erected on the enclosed lawn adjoining the Library for larger dinners and dancing.
