Duns Castle
Beautiful Duns Castle, a 600-year-old Border fighting tower, makes a spectacular exclusive venue. Home to the Hay family for three centuries, Duns Castle is furnished from the 17th century onwards with paintings and furniture reflecting the rich tapestry of Scottish life since that time. Guests are welcomed into what is a living home.
The main dinning room is the principal 14th century chamber, richly panelled and carved. The drawing room looks over landscaped lawns and lake, and there are Roe deer, pheasants and ground game in abundance. Leisure pursuits include clay pigeon shoots, walking, fishing, off road driving with quad bikes, archery, Falconry, croquet and tennis
The castle sleeps 23; there are 12 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, most ensuite. Additional accommodation is available in beautiful estate properties close to the castle.
The castle maintains privacy surrounded by beautiful landscaped estate and is conveniently one hour from Edinburgh (including airport) and the Main East Coast railway line (Berwick-upon-Tweed) only twenty minutes away.
