Lighthouse
Originally designed by Charles Rennie MacKintosh in 1895, The Lighthouse was extended and converted in 1999 to form a series of exhibition galleries, an education centre, purpose built conference suite and a range of exciting and different spaces for receptions and events. The atmosphere and ambience of The Lighthouse makes it an ideal venue and is popular with organisers who have a 'cutting edge' event in mind. Our friendly, professional and experienced staff will help turn any event into something very special. We cater for a variety of events from seminars, meetings and conferences to ceilidhs, fashion shows and product launches. Our galleries can also be made available for private views and receptions.
Conference Suite (Level 3): A purpose designed and self contained conference suite offering its own reception area, breakout space, cloakroom, foyer/landing, access to exterior balcony.
Tower Meeting Room (Level 1): The clean design of this meeting room will add focus and clarity to any decision making process. The room is arranged in boardroom style and has natural daylight.
Gallery 5 (Level 5): A new and highly unusual loft venue in Glasgow. This flexible minimalist space features the original pitched ceiling detail, and has the option of natural daylight or black out and adjustable lighting.
Mack Room (Level 3): This gallery provides an unusual and dramatic backdrop for evening receptions.
The visually stunning exhibition is dedicated to the life and works of Charles Rennie Mackintosh. As part of the evening your guests will be able to climb the tower and take in the fantastic views over the city.
